I-Chun Isabelle Chen, PhD, is a researcher working at the intersection of climate change, healthy ageing, and long-term care across East and Southeast Asia. Based at Chulalongkorn University with fieldwork in Japan, Taiwan, and Thailand, her work integrates climate vulnerability assessment (TC-ICE), community disaster resilience, and cross-national long-term care policy comparison.
She is developing the Climate-Care Nexus Index (CCNI) to inform grand designs for age-inclusive, climate-resilient communities across the life course. Her current projects span policy diagnostics, NGO partnership models, and intergenerational community design, with publications in planetary health, gerontology, and disaster risk reduction. She collaborates across Thailand, Japan, and Germany.
